Sara Logan, with the pizza that all of us got to get l

If you want to know what I did this week in school, then you are out of luck. We did absolutely nothing. April Fools!

This week was like no other, because all weeks have to be different somehow. No, this week is different, because we did something that normal schools do. We preformed a musical, called “Rock n’ Roll Forever” (I was also pretty boring and in my mind, and worse than the song writing we have to do. The lyrics are too hard!) The musical was set in the 1950s as a reality TV show, where a song from every rock n’ roll star in the 50s. Speaking of song writing, we started our new songs, and the cool about them is that we are doing them solo and we pick what subject we make a song about. I chose commas as my subject. Even more, we had ANOTHER Ticket to Read winner, Sara Logan Cada (pronounced Chada, not cada). These were some of the things that my class and I did this week. I also won a 1 billion dollar lottery, so I don’t have to go to school anymore. I’m set for life!

This week, my class and I did a few fun activities. One thing we did was go on a field trip to Tuckleeche Caverns (I can’t spell it, but that’s the best I can do). Another thing we did was present our powerpoints about our research topics. We didn’t do much this week, obviously. Notice how I said  “my class and I did a few fun activities.”

This week is like 2 others, and the thing they have in common is that there are all ends of 9 week periods. That means that we get a long break after ward, and after this week, we have spring break. As if that wasn’t awesome already, we also finished our TCAP tests (we had history on Monday). We also planted in the previously mentioned vegetable garden, sent letters to our Indian ePals, and we started our research projects. The research projects are things where we get to pick something we want to learn about, and then we write an essay about it. My subject is space transportation, an so far, it’s very interesting. This are the things that we did this week.

This week was very the opposite of fun. These 4 words will tell you why: We took state tests. Yep. We spent the week siting down, doing writing prompts and math tests, but we still had to do math and history class. This is literaly the only thing we did this, except have a day off because of Super Tuesday and start planting the garden for next years class. Yeah, this was not really an exciting week, compared to all the other weeks.

I am the main speaker for the traditional team, in the black coat and tan pants. I did so much better when we did this with the first graders.

This week was, as always, full of work assignments you wouldn’t find in a normal school. One example of this is we finished our second songs on how to write opinion and informative writings. Compared to how my team did for our last song, we did pretty bad this time, mainly because I was on a smaller team, and as a result of this, I had to make the lyrics. After that experience, I realized I had no musical talent when it comes to actual singing. Another thing my class did this week (Or should I say, finished this week?) was we finished our Haney Court papers, which are writing assignments we did to present our opinion on a certain topic in “court”,  which was about 20 4th graders watching us and listening. Also, the reason it’s called Haney’s Court is because it is named after our teacher, not a random guy. One more thing we did this week was we- wait a second. Seriously? The only other things we had this week was having dine with the rams at Wendy’s, dads and donuts, which should be named donuts for kids, and the UT steel drums band coming to preform? Ok, the last one was pretty cool, but the first two are not very interesting topics at all. Oh, well. I will just write about steel drums. Like I said, the steel drums were pretty cool, and I liked the music a lot. My teacher also made a video with clips from the band. In summary, me and my class did all this stuff I just spent a good 15-20 minutes writing about.
